The leather noseband of this simple bridle ends at both cheeks with a ring where the throatlatch and cheekpiece are attached. A second ring in the same place is used to attach the reins, resulting in finer rein control. Additionally, a small leather strap connects the noseband and cheekpiece diagonally, preventing the noseband from slipping and allowing the rider to apply pressure to the cheeks. As with all bitless bridles, the noseband must lie on the hard part of the nose bridge, approximately at the beginning of the nasal bone.
