Ready for the most modern standard of horse-friendly bits? The innovative novocontact bits are uniquely shaped and rest on the tongue with an enlarged contact surface. This enables a particularly soft distribution of pressure in the horse's mouth with optimum use of the space available in the horse's mouth. Due to the modern novocontact geometry, this weymouth is especially recommended for horses that tend to pull up their tongue. In our practical tests, these horses also reacted positively to the bit. The long shanks cause the signals to reach the horse's mouth slightly delayed compared to short shanks, while a stronger pressure builds up in the poll area. A sensitive rider's hand is essential here. The horse's mouth tends to be somewhat narrower where the weymouth is fitted. We therefore recommend that you choose a weymouth 1⁄2 to 1 cm smaller than the bradoon. It is important that the sides of the weymouth are close to the corners of the mouth. If there is too much space between the corners of the mouth and the side piece, the weymouth can jam or tilt. The curb chain should be fastened in such a way that an angle of about 30 to 45 degrees is possible between your horse's mouth and the lower shank.
