In order to perform at its peak and feel good even with increasing age, the horse needs to be able to exercise and move freely. Hyaluron 100 contains the body's own substance hyaluronic acid, which is part of the horse's synovial fluid and is needed for the joint to function optimally.

Why hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid has a unique ability to attract water and thus increase the viscosity of synovial fluid. A healthy synovial fluid with a high viscosity acts as a shock absorber for the joint and ensures that the parts of the joint can slide friction-free against each other.
Hyaluronic acid also acts as a carrier for nutrition to the joint and is necessary for e.g. rebuild the articular cartilage.

Need extra hyaluronic acid?
From the age of 12-14, the body's own production of hyaluronic acid decreases, which means that the shock absorption of the synovial fluid can decrease in the older horse. Horses that are exposed to high loads may have a greater need for hyaluronic acid and the body may then have a greater demand than it has time to produce.

For which horses is Hyaluron 100 suitable?
Hyaluron 100 is recommended for horses that train and compete, as well as for the older individual who exhibits joint stiffness or incipient joint stiffness.
