Sweet iron is a special steel that oxidises on contact with air and moisture. Sweet iron develops a sweet-tasting surface that is perceived as pleasant by horses. It promotes saliva production, supports natural chewing activity and can significantly improve acceptance of the bit, particularly popular with sensitive or young horses. The rings are made of stainless steel.
This single-jointed D-ring snaffle provides a stable and quiet position in the horse’s mouth due to its fixed cheek pieces. The lateral guidance supports steering and can allow for more precise action.
The single-jointed mouthpiece acts on the tongue and bars and supports clear and direct rein aids.
